Our Mission and Commitment
Astir Capital Advisors is an Alternative Investments fundraising company.
Since 2009 Astir Capital has successfully fulfilled mandates in venture capital, hedge funds direct deals and co-investment SPV’s. Astir undertakes advisory work for our managers alongside fundraising.
Importantly Astir partners try to invest alongside our clients in all the mandates we undertake. Astir Capital works closely with strategic partners in fundraising to cover broader client segments and geographies.

OUR TEAM

Richard Crosby
Richard Crosby has over 40 years of financial markets experience. He began at Merrill Lynch, held senior roles at Chase Manhattan and Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS), including Regional Head of FX for Asia, and was Global Head of FX at Nations Bank (now Bank of America). In 1996, he moved into hedge funds, serving as MD at GFTA in Germany and Weston Capital in the USA, working with their Tokyo and London offices.
In 2009, Richard founded Astir Capital, raising over one billion dollars. The firm now focuses on venture capital, particularly in fintech.

Christina Costaridi-Crosby
Christina has worked for 24 years in large US financial institutions. She began her career at Citibank London in corporate banking for multinational and industrial clients and moved on to JP Morgan Chase in Hong Kong and London where she held roles in corporate banking and then in private wealth. She then joined Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management where she mainly covered Greek and Shipping clients for the entire spectrum of investments products and services. Christina holds Bachelor degrees in Political Sciences and in Law (Athens University) and an MSc in Shipping & Finance (BAYES Business School).

Rick Dykstra
Rick Dykstra worked in the foreign exchange markets for 20 years. He trained at SBC O’Connor and then became global head of investor sales at Nationsbank before seven years at Goldman Sachs and three years at Deutsche Bank. In 2007 Rick joined Weston Capital to market seeded managers to a varied client base. He has a BA in economics from Cambridge University. Rick joined Astir at its inception in 2009 and has helped raise assets for various hedge fund and VC projects.
