Richard Crosby has over 40 years financial markets experience. He started his banking career at Merrill Lynch, working for Chase Manhattan and Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) he held many varied positions, including Regional head of FX for Asia at SBC, to his final job in Banking as Global Head of FX at Nations Bank (now Bank America). In 1996 Mr Crosby moved into hedge fund and hedge fund of funds involved at MD level in multi billion dollar businesses, including the German based GFTA and the Connecticut USA based Weston Capital, opening their Tokyo and London offices in both businesses. Richard founded Astir Capital in 2009 which has since raised in excess of one billion dollars in various alternative strategies and direct deals. Astir’s business has increasingly concentrated on VC, with an emphasis on fin tech.
Christina has worked for 24 years in large US financial institutions. She began her career at Citibank London in corporate banking for multinational and industrial clients and moved on to Chase JPMorgan in Hong Kong and London where she held roles in corporate banking and then in private wealth. She then joined Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management where she mainly covered Greek and Shipping clients for the entire spectrum of investments products and services. Christina holds Bachelor degrees in Political Sciences and in Law (Athens University) and an MSc in Shipping & Finance (CASS Business School).
Rick Dykstra worked in the foreign exchange markets for 20 years. He trained at SBC O’Connor and then became global head of investor sales at Nationsbank before seven years at Goldman Sachs and three years at Deutsche Bank. In 2007 Rick joined Weston Capital to market seeded managers to a varied client base. He has a BA in economics from Cambridge University. Rick joined Astir at its inception in 2009 and has helped raise assets for various hedge fund and VC projects.
